Traditionally there are twelve sacred mountains that are worked with by the shamans of the Andes in Peru. These powerful mountains each have their own signature energy and are called Apus. During our trip to the Sacred Valley in Peru we will visit with and connect to twelve Apus, engaging an ancient practice of using carved alabaster stones called chumpis to create energetic connections with these Apus.

You will receive a Chumpi Mesa with 12 stones, a woven cloth and rattle
Your journey with us will include receiving twelve chumpis carved especially for you that you will receive in a sacred ceremony by the shaman who carved them. As we travel to each Apu, we will be able to initiate a relationship and ground that relationship in the appropriate chumpi that we then bring back home with us and continue to work with for our own healing. This is a unique opportunity to create tangible and powerful connections with the ancient powers of the Andes.
We will begin our journey in the center of the Inka Empire – Cusco. From here we will travel the length of the Sacred Valley – Pisac to Machu Picchu spending time at ancient Inka ruins, Paqarinas (lakes) and places dedicated to Pachamama (Mother Earth) There will be opportunities to do healing work with the shamans, and free time for your own pleasure and of course shopping (Peruvian textiles are irresistible).
Starting with the Apu Mama Simona we will ask permission, as is tradition amongst shamans, to enter into a relationship with the other sacred mountains. Our trip will be about giving you opportunity for your own direct experience. Each mountain holds a different quality of energy and some may call to you more than others. This is your journey to anchor you, through experience, in the shamanic path.
We will travel in comfort, stay in beautiful hotels, and be supported by knowledgeable guides and Shamans. This journey is designed to be gentle yet profound. There will be no long hikes but a reasonable amount of fitness is required - we call this a 'gentle' sacred journey to Peru.

Whether you are just starting to explore shamanism or have been studying for many years, we invite you to come and immerse yourself in the sacred land of Sorrento Centre where we will remember that we can live in non-duality, operating from a place of oneness and exploring our evolving consciousness.
As our assumptions and beliefs about reality are stretched, we are forced to adjust our thinking in order to incorporate the new information into our existing map of understanding the world, our cosmology. We will ask ourselves what map we are working from and explore the Andean concept of “growing corn”. Do our actions align with what we say our beliefs are? We will review some of the core concepts of Andean Shamanism and look at the universal truths at their core.
This weekend we will consider how our studies are leading to our personal evolution and from that, how we are contributing to the evolution of the collective. Shamanism gives us ancient practical tools for growing into the luminous beings we are at our core. If we are truly ‘growing corn’ in ourselves, the way we create reality will ‘grow corn’ in the world.
